TERM 1 - Curriculum Overview

We have a busy first term of school this year filled with exciting experiences that cover a variety of interesting learning concepts! The first few weeks of school will be vital for the familiarisation with school and classroom routines and expectations. We will begin by focusing on our class vision statement which will give us an idea of how we would like our classroom to look and feel this year!

Curriculum Overview

In Religion this term, we will be exploring how our actions can be like Jesus through the story of the Good Samaritan. We will also explore the season of Lent and the Easter story.

For HASS (History and Geography) we will be exploring the children's families and identifying places that are special to our families.

In Health, we will be exploring how to be Safe in the classroom, at home and in our community.

In English, we will be building on student's oral language skills, developing phonological awareness, reading and comprehension skills and developing letter sound relationships.

In Mathematics we will be working on the number 1 to 10. We will also be exploring and investigating different 2D shapes
