Week 5, Term 4

Welcome to week 5! We are officially half way through the children's last term of prep!

This will be my last blog post for the year as I finish my last day at St. Bernardine's on Tuesday. Miss Sam will be beginning her journey with Prep Green on Wednesday.

Even though Tuesday will be full of many many many tears saying goodbye to Prep Green, I leave with a very big smile. The smile represents the journey we have shared this year, the smiles, the laughs, the challenges but most importantly the love we share for each other. I could not be more honoured to have been your child's first teacher and watch them flourish over the year. There are so many wonderful memories to share but my favourite would be the first time each of your children began to believe in themselves. It is through this belief that I can confidently leave knowing your child has developed a love of learning and a love of school.

I thank all of you for being amazing and supportive parents this year. St. Bernardine's is very lucky to have you as part of their community. I thank you for your understanding in allowing me to leave before the end of the year. I always tell Prep Green to follow your dreams and listen to your heart and that's exactly what I will be doing. I will be coming back to visit as much as possible including the Christmas Concert and the last day of school.

This week will be a different week with a lot of change happening in Prep Green. Please continue to talk to your child about the change. Miss Sam will send home a note with her contact details. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact her. I have completed a handover with Miss Sam and gone through explicitly with her each child in the class including learning needs and how each child needs to be individually supported.

Assembly

I cannot begin to tell you how many people have come up to me and said how amazing prep green were on assembly last week!!!!!! I was so incredibly proud of the boys and girls and was blown away by their confidence. Thank you so much to everyone who came and celebrated this wonderful day!!

Monday - PE, Music

Tuesday - MISS RITCHIE'S LAST DAY, Melbourne Cup, School banking

Wednesday - Miss Sams begins, Library borrowing, Assembly

Thursday - PE, Music

Friday - Normal Day

Miss Sams will continue using this blog as well as our normal Twitter page.

Thank you again for an amazing year at St. Bernardine's. Sending so much love to your families and beautiful children. I will miss them more than you know!
